those pesky definitions part 1

before diving too deeply into the nothingness that this blob is/will be. i feel i need to define a few things (mostly for myself) so we're all on the same page.
i'll start with the silly ones, and progress to the serious ones as i grow some balls.

SCENESTER:
a person associated with or immersed in a particular fashionable cultural scene (dictionary.com)
or, a more fun definition by urbandictionary.com: a person who tries very hard to fit a stereotype of a certain scene, often having to do with a specific genre of music. dresses and acts in a prescribed fashion. image focused. vain.

WITCH:
won't bore you with the obvious definition, i much prefer this one, again from urbandictionary.com:
a bitter or hateful woman. a hag, if you will.

and finally one my favourite terms of all:

EMO:
oh dear. so loaded. let's see if we can wade through the various meanings and associations.
as i read the wikipedia definition, i realize that my idea of emo is a somewhat different, or more specifically a lot simpler. i use the term to describe someone's who's overly emotional with dark bordering on morbid thoughts. very concerned with navel gazing and trying to figure out what it all means, just to come to the conclusion that everything is random and it all means nothing in the end.
urbandictionary to the rescue once again:

genre of softcore punk music that integrates unenthusiastic melodramatic 17 year olds who don't smile, high pitched overwrought lyrics and inaudible guitar rifts with tight wool sweater, tight jeans, itchy scarfs (even in the summer), ripped chunks with favorite bands signature, black square rimmed glasses, and ebony greasy unwashed hair that is required to cover 3/5ths of the face at an angle.
wow amazing, it's like someone was describing me to a t.

in our next lesson we shall cover all of the various goth definitions, including real/old school goth vs the hipster goth. srsly.
as well as what the hell is a scenester witch exactly?
